Talk & Tour

Professor Philip Barter MBBS, PhD, FRACP

I would like to invite you to join me for a research update and a behind-the-scenes tour of The Heart Research Institute.

This will give you the opportunity to ask questions about the work undertaken at The Heart Research Institute and for me to meet with you.  The update will be followed by a guided tour with some of our energetic scientists and concludes with a light lunch.

Tours of the Institute are FREE

The date of the next Talk & Tour is Tuesday 17th August.

If you would like to visit and be a part of the next Talk & Tour, please contact Ms Valerie Froome on (02) 9241 4300 or via email.  Arrangements can be made for either your group, or an individual to accompany an existing group, to tour The Heart Research Institute.

We, at The Heart Research Institute believe it is a very important aspect of allowing the community access to the research being conducted - research that is funded by our wonderful supporters through donations and the allocation of research grants.

What is involved in a Talk & Tour?

Tours are held at our exciting new facility, 7 Eliza Street, Newtown Sydney 2042.

Morning tea is served on arrival, our Director welcomes our guests and presents the Institute at large and explains the direction of our important research, our people and our mission.

After being divided into smaller groups, visitors will be introduced to one of our senior scientists who will personally guide the smaller group through the research laboratories, where you will experience the world of research up close and have a chance to discuss or ask questions of the people at the forefront of our cutting-edge work.

Looking for a Guest Speaker?

In addition to inviting members of the community to tour our laboratories, The Heart Research Institute is very happy to provide a guest speaker to address groups in the community on the research being conducted at The Heart Research Institute, and on the dangers of heart disease.

To organise a Senior Member of staff to talk at your next event, please contact Ms Valerie Froome at The Heart Research Institute on (02) 9241 4300 or if calling from interstate on our Freecall 1800 651 373.
