The 2020 Robert Edward Gough Fellowship

The Heart Research Institute is pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural 2020 Robert Edward Gough Fellowship, with thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the late Robert Edward Gough.

This innovative fellowship scheme, valued at $1,000,000 over a period of five years ($200,000 per year), has been developed to support early-career researchers in the field of cardiovascular science and medicine.

The Sydney Cardiovascular Research Consortium (Sydney CRC) is the largest partnership of cardiovascular researchers in Australia, bringing together enormous resources and expertise in a unified and focused collaboration.

The overarching vision of the Sydney CRC is to find entirely new and innovative approaches to dramatically reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease on the community.

Sydney CRC is comprised of the Heart Research Institute (HRI), The University of Sydney (USYD), Charles Perkins Centre (CPC), Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA), Sydney Local Health District (SLHD), and affiliated medical research institutes such as the Centenary Institute and The George Institute for Global Health.
