Preeclampsia (high blood pressure during pregnancy) is the leading cause of stillbirths and newborn deaths in Australia. It also doubles a woman’s risk of heart disease and stroke later in life.

Professor Annemarie Hennessy AM, Vascular Immunology Group Leader at HRI, talks to Channel 7 News to help raise awareness of preeclampsia, the condition’s impact on women during pregnancy, and the impact on long-term cardiovascular health.
