Dr Thomas Welton is a Postdoctoral Scientist in the Cardiac Imaging Group at HRI specialising in quantitative MR image analysis.

He graduated in 2017 with a PhD in Radiological Science from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. At HRI, he is applying advanced imaging techniques in a “big data” approach to investigate cardiac, neurological and psychiatric disease.

His current research focus is on high-angular resolution diffusion MRI connectomics: models of tracking performance and neurocardiological applications.
