Biography

Boe Rambaldini is an Aboriginal Elder of the Bundjalung Nation on the north coast of NSW. He is an Honorary Associate Professor at Macquarie University. In December 2022 Boe was made an Honorary Fellow of The University of Sydney for his tireless advocacy for improved health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Boe is currently a Cultural Lead at the Djurali Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research Centre at the Heart Research Institute. From 2017 to 2021, Boe was the Director of the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health at the University of Sydney.

Boe has collaborated with over 20 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services across NSW. He also has extensive experience working in local, state, and federal governments, universities, and professional associations. Boe’s work at The University of Sydney, Macquarie University and the Djurali Centre builds on these long-standing relationships to improve the health status of Aboriginal people in NSW. Boe is a Chief Investigator on five grants and as an Aboriginal Elder, he has ensured the community relevance and strong cultural governance in the research design and outcomes. He is widely published in the academic literature, including his work pioneering Aboriginal community led co-design methods which is now widely known as the Rambaldini Model of Co-design.
