Winter Research Scholarships

The Heart Research Institute is excited to offer a limited number of Winter Undergraduate Scholarships to Australia's best and brightest young researchers.

Launching in Winter 2017, the Research Scholarship program will welcome undergraduate students to the HRI in Sydney to hone their skills and gain valuable experience.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented undergraduate student to develop their skills. The high calibre of scientists, new technologies and cutting edge equipment are just a few features that make this an exciting opportunity for promising Australian Undergraduate students.

Research Scholarships take place over the Australian Winter holidays for two weeks. Placements are full-time and will be held in July.

Research Scholarships are open to students who are enrolled at an Australian University in their 3rd year of an Undergraduate course. Scholarships will be based on the strength of the application.

Beyond their scholarship, students may progress to further opportunities with the HRI, including the opportunity to undertake honours and PhD projects.

To be eligible, students must:

  • Be an undergraduate student in the 3rd year of their degree, at an Australian University
  • Commit to the HRI values and responsibilities
  • Provide proof of University enrolment and a copy of your academic transcript
  • Attend an interview via Skype
