Preeclampsia is high blood pressure that occurs during pregnancy and the postpartum period, affecting both mother and unborn baby.

The problem

Preeclampsia is associated with a number of serious effects, including kidney dysfunction, swelling of hands, feet and face, dizziness, headaches and difficulties with vision.

In severe cases, the pregnancy needs to be delivered early. Preeclampsia can also lead to maternal and infant death.

Your donation will contribute to vital research to detect and prevent preeclampsia.
