Biography
Eliza completed her Bachelor of Science and Advanced Studies at the University of Sydney, graduating with first-class Honours. She undertook a double major in Immunology and Pathology, as well as Psychological Science. Her Honours research project involved the biochemical characterisation of immune cells using vibrational spectroscopy.
Funded by a University Postgraduate Award, Eliza is currently pursuing a PhD within the Cardiometabolic Lipidology and Lipidomics Laboratory, under supervision of A/Prof Jacob Qi. Her doctoral research focuses on the lipid regulation of extracellular vesicle biology in senescent endothelial cells. By combining lipidology and lipidomics, she aims to uncover novel therapeutic targets for the management of vascular ageing.
