Biography

Jiabao Sheng is currently a visiting MPhil candidate under the supervision of A/Prof Jacob (Yanfei) Qi. Her research focuses on evaluating lipid-based, bacteria-derived biomaterials for cardiovascular applications, with particular emphasis on vascular inflammation and ageing.

She has a strong academic background in chemical and biological engineering and brings hands-on expertise in cell culture, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and liquid chromatography. During her MPhil training, she investigated bifunctional lipid nanoparticles designed to modulate tumour interstitial fluid pressure and enhance drug penetration.
