Biography

Gulliver Wright is an Honours student studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and a research intern of the Cardiovascular Regeneration Group at the Heart Research Institute (HRI), under the supervision of Associate Professor Carmine Gentile.

Their work is focussed on the development of cardiac bioreactor systems for in-vitro testing of 3D bioprinted patches. Focussing on finite element analysis of the system to ensure congruency with in-vivo conditions and the development of standard operating procedures for the use of bioprinted patches within the bioreactor system.

The goal of this work is to develop stronger models to be used in the development and testing of cardiac patches.
